February continues to be a goldmine of  increased credit card bonuses, and the past week brought new offers for the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express and Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card. If you’re trying to decide on which credit cards are best for you, an elevated welcome bonus can certainly make your decision a bit easier.

If you’re a Chase Sapphire cardholder, be sure to check out a new limited-time promotion to earn bonus points on Chase Dining purchases. Until June 30, Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders can earn 10x points on up to $500 in spending on Tock takeout, delivery, and restaurant reservations, and Virtual Dining Experiences booked through Chase’s dining platform. You’ll find all your options in the “Earn/Use” section of your Ultimate Rewards account.

Don’t forget about ongoing elevated offers that aren’t expiring yet, including impressive bonuses on The Platinum Card® from American Express , The Business Platinum Card® from American Express , Southwest personal cards, and Chase Ink Business cards.

We’re focused here on the rewards and perks that come with each card. These cards won’t be worth it if you’re paying interest or late fees. When using a credit card, it’s important to pay your balance in full each month, make payments on time, and only spend what you can afford to pay.

Best new credit card offers

Last week brought new offers on these cards:

  • Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express
  • Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card

You’ll also earn 6% cash back on select U.S. streaming subscriptions, 3% cash back at US gas stations and on transit (including taxis, rideshares, parking, tolls, trains, and buses), and 1% cash back on everything else. If you max out the $6,000 limit at US supermarkets, you could earn $360 in cash back each year just from that category alone — that’s more than enough to offset the annual fee of $95 (waived the first year) (See Rates).

This isn’t the highest offer we’ve seen for the card (it was up to 100,000 points earlier this year), but the statement credit could make a difference for those who want to minimize their out-of-pocket costs. Cardholders receive an annual free night each card anniversary, valid at Marriott hotels that cost up to 35,000 points per night.

With the limited-time offers on the Southwest personal cards, you’ll bypass the qualifying points (or flights) requirement, and receive a Companion Pass that’s valid until February 28, 2022, once you meet the minimum spending. That’s a shorter validity period than if you earned the Companion Pass the old-fashioned way — but if you have a lot of Southwest flying planned in the next year, these offers are definitely worth considering.

Amex Business Gold card: Earn 70,000 points and up to $300 in credits

The American Express® Business Gold Card usually doesn’t get as much attention as other Amex cards, because its bonus isn’t normally something to get excited about. However, through April 7, 2021, the card is offering double its regular bonus: 70,000 Membership Rewards® points after you spend $10,000 on eligible purchases within the first 3 months of card membership.

In the first three months of account opening, new cardholders can receive up to $150 back as a statement credit toward both US advertising in select media and US shipping purchases (a total of up to $300 back). US advertising in select media includes expenses like promoting your business through Google and Facebook ads or television and radio spots, and shipping can include USPS, FedEx, and UPS purchases.

This is an excellent deal if your business spends a lot in those categories, because if you max out both credits, you can offset the card’s entire $295 annual fee (See Rates).

American Express® Gold Card

Along with 60,000 points after you spend at least $4,000 in your first 6 months of account opening, the American Express® Gold Card earns 4x Membership Rewards points on up to $25,000 spent at US supermarkets each calendar year (then 1x). This perk alone puts the card high on our list of top credit cards for buying groceries.

It’s also a good card for dining because it earns 4x points at restaurants worldwide (including takeout and delivery) with no cap, and also offers up to $120 a year in dining credit at participating restaurants and food-delivery services like Cheesecake Factory, GrubHub, and Seamless.

British Airways Visa Signature® Card

Plus, the cards have added elevated earning rates in certain categories as part of their welcome bonuses. New cardholders can earn 5 Avios per dollar on British Airways, Aer Lingus, and Iberia purchases and 3 Avios per dollar on accommodations booked directly with hotels in the first year of account opening (then 3x and 2x, respectively).

Only new applicants qualify for up to $50 in grocery store credits, but all Chase Sapphire cardholders can still earn bonus points on groceries, on up to $1,000 in spending per month, through April 30, 2021.

The card also comes with a ton of valuable benefits, including up to $200 per calendar year in U.S. Dell credits, up to $200 per calendar year in airline incidental fee credits, and a 35% rebate when you redeem Amex Membership Rewards points for flights on your selected airline (or any business- or first-class ticket) through the Amex Travel Portal.

Many Amex Business Platinum Card perks can also be found on the personal Platinum Card. If you’re not sure which card is right for you, have a look at our comparison of the Amex Platinum and Business Platinum for a full breakdown.

Even if you’re not traveling right now, the Amex Platinum 75k bonus is worth considering: Between up to $200 in Uber credits (including Uber Eats) and up to $100 in Saks credits each calendar year, plus the ability to use Membership Rewards points for a wide variety of redemptions (including many that don’t involve travel), it’s easy to get a ton of value from Platinum Card.

New for 2021, cardholders will also receive up to $30 per month in statement credits for PayPal purchases. Lots of popular retailers and services accept PayPal, so this is an incredibly easy way to get even more value from the card.

Small-business owners who want to earn lots of rewards in the new year can benefit from these all-time-high offers. Keep in mind the Chase Ultimate Rewards points you’ll earn from these cards aren’t just good for cash back — you’ve got options to redeem for travel, and even more flexibility (like transferring to Chase airline and hotel partners) if you also have the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card in your wallet.

You’ll earn 30,000 points after you spend $3,000 on purchases within the first three months of account opening, and up to 30,000 more points by earning 2 points total per dollar on purchases that normally earn 1x points, on up to $15,000 in the first six months of account opening. The previous offer was for up to 50,000 points but the spending requirement was much lower.

There’s also a new promotion for all The World Of Hyatt Credit Card holders in the month of February to earn up to 5,000 Hyatt points after you register by February 28. You’ll earn bonus points for making a certain number of eligible transactions (which must be at least 1 dollar), as follows:

  • 10 transactions = 1,000 bonus points
  • 25 transactions = 2,500 bonus points
  • 50 or more transactions = 5,000 bonus points
