Brute hurls anti-gay slur at man, assaults him in NYC attack

A hatemonger could be seen on video hurling an anti-gay slur at a man and punching him in the face in Lower Manhattan last weekend.

The male suspect attacked the 24-year-old outside of 85 Broad St. in the Financial District about 11:35 p.m. on Saturday, police said.

Surveillance video of the attack, released by police, shows the brute land two punches on the man — one in the face and the other to the back of the head.

A woman tried to intervene, positioning herself in between the two men, and grabbed ahold of the suspect after he threw his second punch, the video shows.

The victim suffered a laceration to his lip and a bloody nose, police said.

Police said the suspect is about 5-foot-9 and 200 pounds. He has a large tattoo on his right leg.
