Rescue dog refuses to let disability get her down by playing in the snow

An adorable dog that has special needs has melted the hearts of the viewers thanks to her happy-go-lucky approach to life.

Sarah, an Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix, was close to starvation and partially paralyzed when she was rescued.

Infections had been left untreated among which was neospara – something that attacks the brain and spinal cord.

Owner Joulie, who lives in Michigan, US, previously told Daily Star that it causes Sarah’s motor skills and coordination to “be a little off”.

But that hasn’t stopped the inspirational pooch from getting her down.

Footage shows Sarah jumping and dances around her garden with nothing but pure joy on her face.

Matthew Wilder’s hit Break My Stride plays in the background – fitting perfectly with the pooch’s spirit.

The clip was initially shared to Sarah’s dedicated Instagram account, @superstarsarah2019, to celebrate the dog’s two-year-anniversary since getting adopted.

But it has since gone viral on Reddit with more than 4,000 up votes.

In the caption, Joulie explained: “Ain't nothing gonna slow her down! My special needs dog Sarah, dancing to her own beat.”

And the footage was hugely appreciated by viewers in search of a much-needed lift.

“What a great doggo – wish I was capable of even 1/16th of that kind of joy for life,” one wrote.

Another commented: “This made my day.”

A third said: “She is perfect and I love her.”

Sarah also has a heartwarming reaction to being fed, with footage emerging earlier this year of her jumping up and down in excitement.

Joulie said her dog’s disability has made her enjoy everything to the full.

“She kinda just treats everyday events like they're something thrilling and exciting,” she explained.

“Every day when I come home from work, she's just bouncing off the walls she's so excited to see me!

“Now, I've come home every day for almost 2 years now but it's a huge deal to her Every. Single. Day.”
