Urgent police hunt launched for stolen white Audi A3 with young child inside

An urgent police hunt has been launched after a young child reportedly went missing in a car in east London.

The white Audi A3 was last seen in the Beckton Triangle Retail Park in Newham just after midday Thursday.

Police believe the car was stolen with the young child inside.

Its number plate registration is GK20 AFU.

Anyone who sees the car has been urged to contact police immediately.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "We are urgently trying to locate a white Audi A3 reg GK20 AFU that has been reported missing.

"We believe there is a young child inside. The car was last seen in Beckton Triangle, E6 #Newham at approx 12:18hrs today.

"If seen please call 999."
