Blomberg has been a part of Catena\u2019s Board since 2019 and serving as a chairman since 2020. The lead generation company mentioned that it has started the process to find a new permanent CEO.<\/p>\n<p>According to the official press release, Blomberg will step down from his current role as the chairman of the Board during his time as interim CEO of the company. The company also mentioned that \u00d6ystein Engebretsen will be the acting chairman of the Board.<\/p>\n<p>Following the news of Hellberg\u2019s resignation, the shares went down sharply. Catena\u2019s stock has lost more than 25% of its value since September 2020. Hellberg joined Catena as CEO in June 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The company mentioned the rapid growth between 2016 and 2018 due to an acquisition-driven strategy. Catena Media termed the last two years period as a consolidation phase to integrate the acquired assets. \u201cCatena Media has successfully entered the US and Japanese markets and developed the highly profitable AskGamblers product within the European market,\u201d the company mentioned in the official announcement.<\/p>\n<h2>Blomberg\u2019s appointment<\/h2>\n<p>Blomberg has a broad managerial experience in the industry and served as a CFO of ICA-handlarnas F\u00f6rbund, prior to Catena Media. \u201cWe are pleased to appoint G\u00f6ran Blomberg as the new interim CEO of Catena Media. Mr. Blomberg has solid experience and brings more than 30 years of managerial experience to the role in a public listed environment. This makes him a good fit with Catena Media for the transition period. The board also wants to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Hellberg for his time with Catena Media,\u201d \u00d6ystein Engebretsen, Interim Chairman of the Board said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will improve operational efficiency through an enhanced focus on BI and AI to create an even more scalable business solution.
