<\/p>\nA man has been flown to hospital after suffering suspected spinal injures in a violent attack \u2013 by a sheep.<\/p>\n
The horrifying incident took place in Kenebri, New South Wales, Australia at around 9am on Sunday, January 31.<\/p>\n
The man was left needing treatment after being rammed into a tree by the animal and then falling heavily.<\/p>\n
Paramedics raced to the scene after the 43-year-old man was viciously struck by the farm animal, with an air ambulance crew arriving shortly after, according to local reports.<\/p>\n
The air ambulance team were initially concerned for their own safety but managed to treat the man and rushed him to Tamworth Hospital for treatment, where he is now said to be in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe patient was at a property at Kenebri when he was rammed by a sheep and subsequently hit a tree and fell quite heavily,\u201d NSW Ambulance acting inspector Rebecca Medd said.<\/p>\n
\u201cJobs involving animals can be quite challenging for paramedics. They need to be able to get to the patient quickly, but also have to ensure they are not putting themselves at risk of being attacked.\u201d<\/p>\n
The incident is the second in a string of animal attacks in the Australian state in a matter of days.<\/p>\n
Another NSW man was taken to hospital with leg injuries from being rammed by a goat while bushwalking in the lower Blue Mountains.<\/p>\n

The man, aged in his 60s, was taken to the Nepean Hospital suffering knee injuries.<\/p>\n
Footage from Channel 7 shows the menacing goat lurking at the scene of the attack as the man is being treated and transported by paramedics.<\/p>\n
David Patterson from NSW Ambulance said paramedics attended \u201cquite a few\u201d jobs involving animals but responding to a goat attack was one of the \u201cmore bizarre\u201d call outs.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese types of jobs can be quite challenging for paramedics and other emergency services, especially with the possibility of an angry animal lurking in the area,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
