and The Queen doesn&#8217;t even come close to top"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A list of the world&apos;s richest royals has been revealed &#8211; and The Queen doesn&apos;t even come close.<\/p>\n<p>Netflix&apos;s The Crown may have made Her Majesty the planet&apos;s most iconic monarch with an estimated \u00a3350 million in her coffers.<\/p>\n<p>But the five richest royals in the world are far richer and all come from Africa and Asia.<\/p>\n<p>Maha Vajiralongkorn, King of Thailand, takes the top spot with up to $43billion (\u00a331.4bn).<\/p>\n<p>That&apos;s nearly 100 times more than Queen Elizabeth whose only big expenditure is said to be on horses.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the southeast Asian king also known as Rama X has amassed a fleet of 38 jet planes and helicopters.<\/p>\n<p>He is thought to share them with his royal consort Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi, who is a qualified pilot.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article23426904.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_The-Queen-And-Duke-Of-Cambridge-Visit-Dstl-Porton-Down.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p> The king ascended to the throne shortly after the death of his father King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 2016 and is the tenth monarch of the Chakri dynasty, South China Morning Post reports. <\/p>\n<p>According to Fortune, much of his wealth comes from his 23 per cent stake in Siam Commercial Bank, one of the country\u2019s biggest lenders, and Siam Cement Group, the country\u2019s largest industrial conglomerate.<\/p>\n<p>The Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan of Brunei, has slipped into second place this year as he maintained his staggering $28 billion (\u00a320.5bn) wealth &#8211; which mostly comes from his country&apos;s massive oil reserves.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article23426907.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_Thai-King-Rama-Xs-coronation-ceremony-Bangkok-Thailand-06-May-2019.jpg\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<figure data-mod=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article23417461.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615\/0_JOP_CHP_775493081_3403JPG.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Queen &apos;determined to get back to business&apos; with first royal engagement since pandemic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>He reportedly enjoys regular $20,000 (\u00a314.6k) haircuts and maintaining his 1,788-room palace and fleet of 5,000 vehicles including hundreds of Rolls-Royces.<\/p>\n<p>Third place goes to another oil-rich monarch &#8211; King Salman of Saudi Arabia who is said to be worth $18bn (\u00a313.2bn).<\/p>\n<p>King Salman seems to enjoy opulence, apparently sharing a love of ultra-expensive yachts and paintings.<\/p>\n<p>Like the Sultan, his wealth comes from the portion of the royal family&apos;s estimated $1.4 trillion (\u00a31 trillion) portfolio &#8211; rulers, worth an estimated $15 billion (\u00a311bn).<\/p>\n<p>Much of his riches come from the UAE\u2019s oil reserves and the Panama Papers suggest he owns many luxurious properties in London worth more than $1.7 billion (\u00a31.3bn).<\/p>\n<p>Fifth place goes to the richest monarch in Africa, Morocco\u2019s reigning King Mohammed VI &#8211;
