{"id":112693,"date":"2021-02-13T11:10:20","date_gmt":"2021-02-13T11:10:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/?p=112693"},"modified":"2021-02-13T11:10:20","modified_gmt":"2021-02-13T11:10:20","slug":"police-storm-plane-at-heathrow-airport-to-arrest-man-32-over-abduction-of-girl-4-with-just-seconds-to-spare","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/world-news\/police-storm-plane-at-heathrow-airport-to-arrest-man-32-over-abduction-of-girl-4-with-just-seconds-to-spare\/","title":{"rendered":"Police storm plane at Heathrow Airport to arrest man, 32 over abduction of girl, 4, with just seconds to spare"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>POLICE swooped on a plane at Heathrow after a race against time to arrest a man suspected of abducting a four-year-old girl.<\/p>\n<p>The jet had to be halted on the tarmac moments before it was due to fly to Bucharest, Romania.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/NINTCHDBPICT000625829072.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Officers stormed the plane and arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of child abduction in front of stunned passengers.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, the youngster, who is known to the suspect, was returned safely to her panicked mum.<\/p>\n<p>Nottinghamshire Police received a report of a man taking the girl without permission on Thursday at 4.57pm.<\/p>\n<p>They managed to track his car using automatic number plate recognition cameras to Heathrow Airport. <\/p>\n<h2>&#x27;RACE AGAINST THE CLOCK&#x27;<\/h2>\n<p>Officers then established he was booked on the flight to Romania, which was due to leave at 6pm.<\/p>\n<p>Detective Sergeant Ruth Walke, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: &quot;When the report came in it was a race against the clock to find them.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;This was fantastic work by a whole host of officers and detectives across multi-agencies from Nottinghamshire and the Met Police.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The plane was taxiing ready for take-off, but we were able to get there just in time before it took flight.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The plane then returned to the terminal and the man was arrested.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;This was a hugely complex and challenging case, with its obvious pressures.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I&#x27;d like to praise the team of detectives for their commitment and dedication to the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;If it wasn&#x27;t for the swift coordinated multi-agency response there may have been a very different outcome.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>The man was questioned by detectives before being released on police bail.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/news\/14038654\/police-storm-plane-heathrow-abduction-arrest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>POLICE swooped on a plane at Heathrow<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":112692,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[23056],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
