{"id":113318,"date":"2021-02-18T10:38:39","date_gmt":"2021-02-18T10:38:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/?p=113318"},"modified":"2021-02-18T10:38:39","modified_gmt":"2021-02-18T10:38:39","slug":"moment-brazen-bike-thief-uses-angle-grinder-to-cut-through-lock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/world-news\/moment-brazen-bike-thief-uses-angle-grinder-to-cut-through-lock\/","title":{"rendered":"Moment brazen bike thief uses ANGLE GRINDER to cut through lock"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Moment brazen bike thief uses ANGLE GRINDER to cut through security lock outside Manchester University<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Video caught the moment a man uses an angle grinder to free a bicycle\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Sparks fly throughout the clip as he works to free the machine in broad daylight\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Several passers-by wander passed without making an attempt to stop him\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A brazen thief sends sparks flying as he uses an angle grinder to steal a bicycle in broad daylight.<\/p>\n<p>The man, seen standing between two other bikes, was caught on video as he worked to free the two-wheeled machine in Oxford Road near Manchester University.<\/p>\n<p>As he calmly sawed through the metal several people stopped to watch him at work but no one made any attempt to stop the crime.<\/p>\n<p>At one point the crook stops and realises he is being recorded but barely acknowledges the phone before getting back to it.<\/p>\n<p>The clip starts with the man recording the video saying: \u2018That guy\u2019s robbing that bike!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A young woman later asks \u2018is he stealing?\u2019 to which he replied: \u2018Yeah.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The sparks continue to fly as the crook grinds the lock and the video cuts shortly after.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully the thief did not get away with somebody else\u2019s property in the end, as according to onlookers a member of the public finally intervened.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2021\/02\/18\/10\/39440228-9273623-The_masked_man_is_seen_cutting_through_a_security_lock_in_broad_-m-2_1613643473068.jpg\" height=\"545\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The masked man is seen cutting through a security lock in broad daylight outside Manchester University<\/p>\n<p>Several social media users were shocked by the attempted crime.<\/p>\n<p>One said: \u2018Never worked a day in their life and want to steal from other people.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Scum of the earth.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>When asked why no one was stopping it, another replied: \u2018He\u2019s got an angle grinder, why would anyone go up to him lol.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Last year two hooded crooks used one of the tools to steal a \u00a31,000 electric bike from Holborn in London.<\/p>\n<p>They managed to cut through a security chain in just eight seconds before riding off.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2021\/02\/18\/10\/39440254-9273623-At_one_point_he_stops_what_he_is_doing_and_looks_down_the_lens_o-m-4_1613643491025.jpg\" height=\"488\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>At one point he stops what he is doing and looks down the lens of the camera before calmly getting back to work in full view of shocked people watching on<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2021\/02\/18\/10\/39440246-9273623-Sparks_continue_to_fly_as_he_uses_the_angle_grinder_to_cut_throu-m-5_1613643504762.jpg\" height=\"450\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Sparks continue to fly as he uses the angle grinder to cut through the security chain keeping the bike safe in Manchester\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A witness said at the time: \u2018I heard the angle grinder go off. I called out to them, but they just told me to **** off.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It all happened so quickly.
