The team went on to highlight Polkadot&#8217;s meteoritic rise to the top ten according to market capitalization. However, Weiss hoped to see more working DApps on Polkadot that can rival or exceed those of Ethereum. The team at Weiss shared their insights on Polkadot via the following statement.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span>The <\/span><span>#Polkadot<\/span><span> is one of the best layer-1 protocols out there. It\u2019s also one of the top 10 by market cap. However, in 2021 the bar was raised &#8211; we need to see working <\/span><span>#dapps<\/span><span> that perform as good or even better than the <\/span><span>#Ethereum<\/span><span> counterpart to be impressed and intrigued.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>And that goes for the rest of the layer-1 protocols competing with <\/span><span>#ETH<\/span><span>. Pure tech potential no longer cuts it.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>Polkadot Sets New All-time High of $32.70<\/h2>\n<p>With respect to price action, Polkadot is currently trading at $31.50 after posting a new all-time high of $32.70 &#8211; Binance Rate &#8211; earlier today. Polkadot&#8217;s impressive market performance has allowed DOT to retain the number 6th spot on Coinmarketcap, having edged out XRP and Litecoin.
