Prince Harry's new job at mental health firm BetterUp has raised questions about his previous comments on Meghan Markle in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, a royal expert has claimed

The Duke of Sussex was hired by the Silicon Valley startup as their Chief Impact Officer, in a role which is intended to provide life coaching on personal development, increased awareness, and an all-round better life.

ITV royal producer Lizzie Robinson spoke on the recent Royal Rota podcast: "He's always said how passionate he is about mental health, he said that's as important as in physical health."

Harry mentioned in his mission statement that during his decade of joining the military, he learned that "we don't just need to build physical resilience but also mental resilience".

He added: "In the years since my understanding of what resilience means and how we can build it has been shaped by the thousands of people and experts I have been fortunate to meet and learn from."

Lizzie then points out that Harry's new role seems to raise questions about what he told Oprah in the bombshell interview with wife Meghan Markle.

"We knew that Harry cares about mental health. We know he has done a lot of work in this area," she says.

"This is why people were slightly taken aback in the Oprah interview when Meghan was speaking about her own mental health.

"Harry actually said in that interview, 'I was ashamed to say anything and I didn't know how to help her'.

"That doesn't add up with the work he has done and the things he is saying here.

"We know he cares deeply and has done a lot of work around mental health so for him to say in that interview he didn't know what to do, it didn't add up."
