Twitter users were today experiencing outages as technical problems hit the network in the build-up to Prince Philip’s funeral.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The social media platform began going down for some people from 1am UK time and issues have been continuing today.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In a statement, Twitter Support said: ‘Tweets may not be loading for some of you. We’re working on fixing a problem and you’ll be back on the timeline soon.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Website Down Detector found reports of Twitter outages spiked at around 1am and again at 1pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Users have complained about being unable to log onto the app while others claimed tweets were not loading.<\/p>\n
The issues are also affecting people in Mexico, South America, South Africa and the Philippines.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It follows a tumultuous start to the year in which the company permanently suspended then-US president Donald Trump’s account and expanded its use of warning labels to target misleading posts about coronavirus vaccines.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
