President Joe Biden announced Wednesday that his administration had reached its goal of 200 million vaccine shots administered during his first 100 days in office.<\/li>\n
The United States is averaging 3 million reported shots per day over the past week. That figure has held above 3 million for more than two weeks straight, but is down slightly from a peak of 3.4 million reported shots per day on April 13.<\/li>\n
The U.S. is reporting an average of nearly 63,000 daily new infections, above the nation's most recent low point of 53,600 per day in late March but showing signs of decline over the past few days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
President Joe Biden announced Wednesday that his administration had reached its goal of 200 million Covid vaccine shots administered during his first 100 days in office, and touted that half of U.S. adults, and 80% of seniors, have received at least one shot.<\/p>\n
The president had originally aimed for 100 million shots in 100 days, a goal that drew criticism for being too conservative. The administration hit that target in 58 days.<\/p>\n
