Kate Middleton is arguably the most devoted mum of all senior royals.<\/p>\n
In a change of tradition, the Duchess of Cambridge, along with husband Prince William, takes care of most of the parenting duties herself.<\/p>\n
They employ just one nanny for their three children, George, seven, Charlotte, who celebrates her sixth birthday today, and Louis, three.<\/p>\n
However, as with most busy parents, work often means having to leave our kids behind at some point.<\/p>\n
But working as a prominent member of the Royal Family comes with unique responsibilities for the couple, who celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on Thursday, including overseas travel and extended stays away from home.<\/p>\n
And while her jet-setting lifestyle might be a dream to many, Kate admits she feels extreme 'mum guilt' every time she has to say goodbye to her children.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Giovanna Fletcher, Kate admitted she struggled with mum guilt when she had to say goodbye to her children, the Mirror reported.<\/p>\n
She also explained that there is one question that George and Charlotte ask that gets to her.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, she said she "absolutely" felt mum guilt.<\/p>\n
She added: "Anyone who doesn't as a mother is actually lying.<\/p>\n

"Yep – all the time. Even this morning, coming to the nursery visit here – George and Charlotte were like 'Mummy how could you possibly not be dropping us off at school this morning?'<\/p>\n
"It's a constant challenge – you hear it time after time from mums, even mums who aren't necessarily working and aren't pulled in the directions of having to juggle work life and family life."<\/p>\n
During the chat, Kate also admitted she sometimes feels guilty about the parenting decisions she makes.<\/p>\n
She said: "[You're] always sort of questioning your own decisions and your own judgements and things like that, and I think that starts from the moment you have a baby."<\/p>\n

She goes on to explain how she deals with the guilt, relaying something a "very wise man" told her.<\/p>\n
She said: "The more people you have around your children who are safe and loving and caring, the better.<\/p>\n
"So yeah – it was a real weight off my shoulders that actually it's not totally my responsibility to do everything, because you know we all have good days, bad days – and you can dilute that with others who aren't on that particular day struggling.<\/p>\n
"I think it makes such a difference for your child, keeping them as constant and happy as possible."<\/p>\n
