Sign up today for the best stories straight to your inbox<\/p>\n<p>A corpse believed to be that of a leader of a controversial religious group was found mummified in a sleeping bag, wrapped in Christmas lights and with glitter missing around its missing eyes.<\/p>\n<p>They are believed to belong to Amy Carlson, 45, known to her followers in the US state of Colorado as &apos;Mother God&apos;.<\/p>\n<p>She was a self-proclaimed &apos;divine being&apos; from the group Love Has Won. It has been branded by law enforcement and followers as a &quot;cult&quot;, the Daily Beast reports.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation into the corpse led to the arrest of seven members of the group on various charges, including child abuse and abuse of a corpse.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article24034951.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/1_Amy-Carlson-45-whose-followers-call-her-Mother-God.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>No one has yet been charged.<\/p>\n<p> The Saguache County Sheriff&apos;s office found the body last week after receiving a tip from a suspected member of the group, Miguel Lamboy. <\/p>\n<p>The affidavit said that Mr Lamboy said: &quot;It was obvious that Ms Carlson was dead because her eyes were missing. <\/p>\n<p>&quot;Mr Lamboy stated that the body appeared to be mummified with Ms Carlson&apos;s teeth exposed through the lips.&quot; <\/p>\n<p>The body was found in the group&apos;s headquarters, a mobile home, in rural Saguache County. It is said to have appeared to have glitter makeup around the eyes. <\/p>\n<p>It is suspected that the eyes were missing due to the decomposition of the body, with officials believing she has been dead for weeks. <\/p>\n<p>The official identity of the corpse has not been confirmed as her body was too decomposed to be verified via fingerprints. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<figure data-mod=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article24034330.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615\/0_Sex-robot-with-AI-lifelike-quality-dazzles-human-customers.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Sex robot with incredible &apos;lifelike&apos; quality AI dazzles human customers<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/s2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/@trinitymirrordigital\/chameleon-branding\/publications\/dailystar\/img\/logo-schema-dailystar.png\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>She will be formally identified through dental records. <\/p>\n<p>Saguache County Coroner Tom Perrin said the room where Carlson was found was &quot;very decorated with murals on the walls and Christmas lights all around&quot;. <\/p>\n<p>Two children, aged 12 and two, were asleep in the mobile home. <\/p>\n<p>The coroner suspected that Carlson was ingesting colloidal silver \u2013 a formulation she had been selling as a cure for coronavirus.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<figure data-mod=\"image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article24033884.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615\/0_Scientists-create-unprecedented-6G-chip-that-will-be-used-for-next-gen-drones.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>New &apos;6G chip&apos; could download Netflix film in &apos;less than a blink of the eye&apos;<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/s2-prod.mirror.co.uk\/@trinitymirrordigital\/chameleon-branding\/publications\/dailystar\/img\/logo-schema-dailystar.png\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Her sister Chelsea Ann Reninger confirmed the death on an obituary posted on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>She said: &quot;For those of you that knew my sister Amy, I wanted to let you know we found out yesterday of her passing! <\/p>\n<p>&quot;Please pray for us and the people involved in this awful situation. <\/p>\n<p>&quot;We are choosing to remember who se was when she was in our lives on a regular basis and not who she became from this manipulating cult!&quot; <\/p>\n<p>Love Has Won has not yet announced the death of its leaders, but one of the members posted an encrypted messages. <\/p>\n<p>It read: &quot;She has not passed away. She ascended.
