Ms Kelley, who wrote about the Kennedy family, Oprah Winfrey and the royals among others, told the Washington Post: "Harry and Meghan will be sought after socially in America and paid generously (some might say exorbitantly) for their celebrity value.

"Not even the biggest US movie star or sports giant can claim Harry and Meghan's link to the British monarchy."

Meghan and Harry announced last year they were quitting as royals, saying they wanted to become financially independent.

They had previously agreed to no longer use their HRH titles as part of the initial Megxit agreement.

And Buckingham Palace confirmed the couple would lose their patronages, with Harry being stripped of his honorary military titles as part of the agreement.

In turn, they could live abroad and pursue financially profitable deals.

They can also still be known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after being given the titles as a wedding gift at their 2018 nuptials at Windsor Castle.

The pair style themselves as such on their Archwell website and get introduced with their royal titles at events – outshining fellow celebrity guests.

Harry also remains sixth-in-line to the throne – followed by his son Archie and soon by his daughter, to be born during the summer, again boosting his USP.

And he got a standing ovation as he appeared solo at a Covid concert last night – with US fans saying "he belongs to us now".

The Duke was among a bevy of big names taking part in the taping of the show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, due to air on May 8.

And thrilled viewers went online to express their joy at his segment, with one writing: "This is how America treats human beings unlike England treats Meghan. Harry belongs to us now."

Another said: "This reaction for Prince Harry in California at #VaxLive is really something. Somehow doubt that anyone other than the Queen or his late mother would get similar."

Harry and Meghan are serving as Campaign Chairs ofVAX Live, which "aims to inspire vaccine confidence worldwide and help get the Covid-19 vaccines to everyone, everywhere" according to a statement by Global Citizen.

It comes after the couple struck a string of mega-bucks deals last year, with a £100million Netflix deal and £30million Spotify win among them.

They also reportedly signed with the Henry Walker agency for future speaking engagements back in June last year.
