{"id":129963,"date":"2021-06-24T08:52:24","date_gmt":"2021-06-24T08:52:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/?p=129963"},"modified":"2021-06-24T08:52:24","modified_gmt":"2021-06-24T08:52:24","slug":"rescued-dog-was-so-happy-he-wagged-his-tail-too-hard-and-vets-had-to-cut-it-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/world-news\/rescued-dog-was-so-happy-he-wagged-his-tail-too-hard-and-vets-had-to-cut-it-off\/","title":{"rendered":"Rescued dog was so happy he wagged his tail too hard and vets had to cut it off"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A rescued dog wagged his tail so hard after happily escaping his abusive owner &#8211; vets were forced to cut it off.<\/p>\n<p>Benny the Bull Mastiff, was rescued from a house in the Wirral after living in fear under the hands of his owner whose neighbour captured the cruelty on video and reported it to the RSPCA.<\/p>\n<p>RSCPA inspector, Anthony Joynes was featured on the latest episode of The Dog Rescuers and told how although the 10-year-old pet now has a new home &#8211; he&apos;s had to go under the knife for surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Joynes said: \u201cBenny was seized by police from a house in the Wirral after a neighbour captured video of him being tormented by his owner and reported it to the RSPCA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe man was using intimidation and abuse&#8230; the dog would have been in his kennel shaking and fretting through pure fear.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Benny was taken in by the RSPCA Wirral and Chester branch and treated by vets, then later rehomed by Luis Estrada and Sophie Eleanor from Manchester.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article24387375.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_Benny-Luis-in-Scotland.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Ms Eleanor said: \u201cBenny has settled in brilliantly now and is a very happy dog. In fact, he may be too happy! Vets had to amputate his tail recently because he injured it by wagging so much!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey&apos;d (the RSPCA) written that he &apos;needed a hand to hold&apos; and it was so endearing&#8230; we went to visit and fell in love with him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was quite nervous when he first came here.
