Police have released an image of four youths in the hunt for teenagers who spat at cancer sufferer in Thorpe Park ‘because she had a shaved head’ (pictured)

A spokesman for Surrey Police said that they hoped the CCTV image of the boys would lead to someone coming forward to identify them.

It said: ‘We are appealing to the public for information following an assault at Thorpe Park on Sunday, June 6.

‘The eight-year-old victim, who was with her family, was at the theme park between 6pm-7pm when the family was approached by four teenage boys who started spitting at them.

‘The parents were concerned that their eight-year-old daughter had been deliberately targeted because she has a shaved head due to cancer treatment.

‘The four suspects are described as 17-year-old boys, all around 5ft 8ins tall. The boy who spat on the informant’s daughter was described as Mediterranean, with curly black brown hair and wearing a black tee-shirt.

‘The other boys were described as white. One had short blond hair and wore a black tee-shirt and grey tracksuit bottoms. One was wearing shorts and a tee-shirt with a side pouch.

‘We are now releasing a photograph of four boys we would like to identify as part of this ongoing investigation. Surrey Police is working collaboratively with Thorpe Park on this investigation.’

Anyone who recognises the boys or witnessed the incident are asked to identify the boy by contacting Surrey Police via their webchat or on 101.
