{"id":131742,"date":"2021-07-10T09:22:23","date_gmt":"2021-07-10T09:22:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/?p=131742"},"modified":"2021-07-10T09:22:23","modified_gmt":"2021-07-10T09:22:23","slug":"meghan-markle-and-prince-harry-receive-special-charity-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/world-news\/meghan-markle-and-prince-harry-receive-special-charity-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Meghan Markle and Prince Harry receive &apos;special&apos; charity award"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Charity that wants to stop families having more than two children to fight climate change gives Meghan and Harry a &#8216;Special Award&#8217; for their &#8216;enlightened decision&#8217;<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Duke and Duchess of Sussex praised by sustainability charity Population Matters<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Charity gave them a &#8216;Special Award&#8217; for reducing their environmental impact by limiting their family to two children following birth of Lilibet Diana in June\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The royal couple have been recognised as a &#8216;role model for other families&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A charity that is campaigning to stop families having more than two children has given Meghan Markle and Prince Harry\u00a0an award that praises their &#8216;enlightened decision&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Population Matters says its campaign to limit families is designed to achieve a &#8216;sustainable population&#8217;, despite their agenda&#8217;s similarities to Communist China&#8217;s notorious one child policy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Beijing now &#8216;allows&#8217; its citizens to have three children after decades of limiting them to one child per family, which led to unknown numbers of &#8216;unauthorised&#8217; children being abandoned or given away for adoption.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Duke of Duchess of Sussex were praised by the charity Population Matters for reducing their environmental impact by limiting their family to two children.<\/p>\n<p>The UK-based charity said the couple were being recognised as &#8216;a role model for other families&#8217; after the birth of Lilibet Diana on June 4 and Archie Mountbatten-Windsor on May 6, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Prince Harry and Meghan will be given the award alongside nine others on Sunday, July 11 to mark the United Nations&#8217; World Population Day.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The couple first referenced their intention to have just two children together during a Vogue magazine interview in 2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2021\/07\/10\/09\/45268487-9775283-image-a-23_1625906411232.jpg\" height=\"464\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have become the recipients of a charitable award that praises their &#8216;enlightened decision&#8217; to limit themselves to having two children<\/p>\n<p>Population Matters said it was recognising Harry and Meghan with the &#8216;Special Award&#8217; for reducing their impact on the environment by not having any more children following the birth of their daughter this year.<\/p>\n<p>The Sussexes, who quit as senior working royals last year, had baby Lilibet &#8216;Lili&#8217; Diana on June 4, following the birth of their son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor on May 6, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesman said: &#8216;In choosing and publicly declaring their intention to limit their family to two, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are helping to ensure a better future for their children and providing a role model for other families.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Having a smaller family reduces our impact on the Earth, and provides a better chance for all our children, their children and future generations to flourish on a healthy planet.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We commend the Duke and Duchess for taking this enlightened decision, and for affirming that a smaller family is also a happy family.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Harry mentioned his intention to have no more than two children during a talk with chimpanzee expert Dr Jane Goodall in Vogue magazine in 2019.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2021\/07\/10\/09\/45268519-9775283-image-a-24_1625906450681.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The royal couple have been recognised as a &#8216;role model for other families&#8217;.
