THE widow of assassinated Haitian President Jovenel Mo\u00efse has said hewas \u201cpelted with bullets in the blink of an eye\u201d by \u201cgutless killers\u201d.<\/p>\n

Martine Moise's slammed the killers three days after she was airlifted to a Miami hospital for treatment of serious wounds suffered when gunmen stormed the family home.<\/p>\n

The president was attacked at 1am by a group of foreign mercenaries, mainly Columbians, who were paraded through the streets by an angry mob.<\/p>\n

The president\u2019s 47-year-old wife said during their time together \u201clove radiated within the home\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut suddenly, the mercenaries came and pelted my husband with bullets,\u201d she said, speaking from her hospital bed.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have to be a notorious criminal without guts to assassinate a president like Jovenel Mo\u00efse with impunity, without giving him the chance to speak.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said her husband was gunned down \u201cIn the blink of an eye\u2026without even giving him a chance to say a word\u201d.<\/p>\n

It comes after Joe Biden rebuffed Haiti's plea for help and refused to send in troops following the assassination.<\/p>\n

Haitian government officials pleaded with the\u00a0US President\u00a0for help to safeguard the country's infrastructure on Friday.<\/p>\n

Shocking footage shows the moment alleged ex-military mercenaries were dragged through the crowded slums of Port-au-Prince after being seized.<\/p>\n

It comes after two\u00a0alleged US mercenaries were paraded by Haitan cops\u00a0in front of the media after they were arrested over the assassination.<\/p>\n

James Solages, 35 and Joseph Vincent, and 15\u00a0Colombian\u00a0nationals were captured over the\u00a0brazen killing of the Haitian leader\u00a0on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

So far, 17 have been arrested and at least three were killed while handful remain at large, police say.<\/p>\n

But no motive has been made public, and questions are swirling about who might have masterminded the audacious assassination.<\/p>\n
