Wildlife park staff launch urgent hunt for fugitive Aussie animal that burst free from enclosure<\/h2>\n<p>A search has been launched for an 11-month old runaway wallaby that escaped from an amusement park.<\/p>\n<p>The creature, who doesn&#8217;t have a name, was spotted by stunned radio presenter Gary Muircroft as he made his way to work.<\/p>\n<p>Local radio host Mr Muricroft ended up late for his shift as he tried to help round up the animal in Carluke, Lanarkshire.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2021\/07\/16\/19\/45533623-9796061-image-m-2_1626459339215.jpg\" height=\"439\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The creature, who doesn&#8217;t have a name, was spotted by stunned radio presenter Gary Muircroft as he made his way to work<\/p>\n<p>It is belieived to have gone on the run from Clyde Valley Family Park and has been at large for two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Muircroft posted online: &#8216;Late for the Go Radio breakfast show with Grado this morning trying to rescue this wee guy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Hope the guy at Police Scotland managed to get someone out here.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2021\/07\/16\/19\/45533621-9796061-image-a-15_1626459438902.jpg\" height=\"408\" width=\"306\"><\/p>\n<p>Local radio host Mr Muricroft ended up late for his shift as he tried to help round up the animal in Carluke, Lanarkshire<\/p>\n<p>Scots wrestler and fellow breakfast show host Grado joked: &#8216;The bigger story was that he left me in here flapping at the thought of having to run this radio show myself, he still hasn&#8217;t shown me how to use the buttons!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Grant Bell, of Clyde Valley Family Park, told the public not to approach the wallaby.<\/p>\n<p>He said: &#8216;They&#8217;re harmless, they are about the size of a small dog.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;If anyone can close their garden gates behind it and call us, we can come up with the rescue net.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Wallabies are members of the kangaroo family and can reach up to six feet in height.<\/p>\n<p>Scotland has feral wallabies including a group who live in Inchconnahan, Loch Lomond.<\/p>\n<p>They were introduced to the area in 1940 by Lady Arran.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2021\/07\/15\/01\/45461809-0-image-m-121_1626310164357.jpg\" width=\"62\" height=\"60\" \/><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2021\/07\/11\/17\/45309117-0-image-a-38_1626021293739.jpg\" width=\"62\" height=\"60\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Share this article<\/h2>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-9796061\/Wildlife-park-staff-launch-urgent-hunt-fugitive-Aussie-animal-burst-free-enclosure.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Where&#8217;s WALLABY?
