(Reuters) – Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said on Wednesday the existing rules covering central bank officials\u2019 investment activities are \u201cnow seen as clearly not adequate\u201d and changes are needed after recent news that two reserve bank officials have been active investors.<\/p>\n

Powell, answering a question after the Fed\u2019s latest policy meeting, also said he was not aware of the trading activities of reserve bank presidents Robert Kaplan and Eric Rosengren that has drawn criticism from Fed watchers.<\/p>\n
