Terry McAuliffe, who is running again for the post next week, told Fox News what they think the state would look like if Republican Glenn Youngkin wins the election.<\/p>\n<p>The outgoing governor, Ralph Northam, is a Democrat.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Oh, it will be a nightmare,&#8221; one mother standing with her son told Fox News. &#8220;I think it&#8217;s going to look a lot like Texas.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Two other women made the same remark.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Just like Texas,&#8221; one said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re probably going to be looking a lot more like Texas, and that scares me,&#8221; the second told Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>Several other McAuliffe supporters who spoke to Fox News in Arlington also mentioned their fear of Virginia looking like Texas.<\/p>\n<h3>WATCH:\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/cf-images.us-east-1.prod.boltdns.net\/v1\/static\/694940094001\/da3e07f1-7676-416f-b9c8-3b5c47d95763\/cc25a3ef-2143-43f1-8dc7-0e506fd69ea5\/1280x720\/match\/720\/405\/image.jpg?ve=1&amp;tl=1\"><\/p>\n<p>At a recent McAuliffe rally featuring Stacey Abrams and the Dave Matthews Band, Abrams echoed similar sentiments when she spoke to the crowd.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/640\/320\/764b86cf-GettyImages-1235944317.jpg?ve=1&amp;tl=1\"><\/p>\n<p>\n      Former Representative and voting rights activist Stacey Abrams speaks during a Souls to the Polls rally supporting former Virginia Gov. (REUTERS\/Evelyn Hockstein)\n      <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They would really attack women&#8217;s reproductive rights,&#8221; the man standing with his mother told Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>Some also felt the Republican would roll back mask mandates and that there would be &#8220;less of a push for vaccinations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A recent Monmouth University poll showed McAuliffe and Youngkin <u>tied<\/u> at 46% among likely voters.
