Leopard cub drops an impala carcass onto its mother after she dragged her kill up into a tree<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Video was filmed at South Africa&#8217;s Greater Kruger National Park on October 25\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>It shows a leopard bringing back a dead impala and taking it up a tree to her cub<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The leopard cub appears to be eating the dead animal when it falls from the tree<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>It lands on the mother leopard&#8217;s head and gives her an almighty shock<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Gruesome footage shows the moment a leopard cub drops a dead impala from a tree on to its mother&#8217;s head below.<\/p>\n<p>The video clip was filmed by Sabre Meeser at Sabi Sands, in South Africa&#8217;s Greater Kruger National Park, on October 25.<\/p>\n<p>It shows the impala carcass being dropped by a leopard cub from a tree onto the cub&#8217;s unsuspecting mother below, giving her a mighty shock.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2021\/11\/03\/16\/50013529-10161323-image-m-46_1635956351536.jpg\" height=\"445\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Video footage filmed at South Africa&#8217;s Greater Kruger National Park shows the moment an impala carcass is dropped from a tree onto an unsuspecting leopard<\/p>\n<p>The video clip, shared by Latest Sightings &#8211; Kruger, shows a leopard returning to a tree with an impala in its mouth.<\/p>\n<p>The mother begins climbing the tree with the stricken animal, where her cub is waiting.<\/p>\n<p>The leopard and her cub take the impala further up the tree and later in the clip the dead animal appears to be hanging from a branch.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2021\/11\/03\/16\/50013531-10161323-image-m-52_1635956527816.jpg\" height=\"624\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The dead animal is seen falling from the tree after being set loose by the cub and lands on the mother leopard below<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2021\/11\/03\/16\/50013545-10161323-image-m-48_1635956421592.jpg\" height=\"489\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The mother leopard was seen carrying the dead impala in its mouth before carrying it up to her cub in the tree\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2021\/11\/03\/16\/50013535-10161323-image-m-50_1635956468982.jpg\" height=\"476\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The mother leopard eats the impala after killing it and carrying it up into a tree while her cub waits behind her<\/p>\n<p>The leopard cub is seen eating the animal while the mother prowls the ground directly below.<\/p>\n<p>Then, all of a sudden, the dead animal is set loose from the branch and falls on the head of the mother leopard.<\/p>\n<p>The fall gives the mother a fright as she jumps into the air before rushing back to the carcass.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The video clip was filmed on the same day a leopard cub was seen running up a tree to safety after being chased by a hungry hyena.<\/p>\n<p>Moosa Varachia, a 30-year-old part-time photographic guide, filmed the nail-biting chase at the same park on October 25.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The eleven-month-old leopard cub was spotted by a safari party hiding under a bush while its mother had gone hunting for food.<\/p>\n<p>In the clip one of the group can be heard saying &#8216;there&#8217;s a leopard in the first bush in front&#8217; as a pack of four hyenas appear and prowl around their vehicles.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The hyenas begin walking off down the road, before one turns to retrace its steps and catches the leopard cub&#8217;s scent.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Aware of what is about to happen, one of the people watching repeatedly says: &#8216;No, no, no.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The lone hyena then starts walking quickly towards the bush where the leopard cub is hiding.
