{"id":147773,"date":"2021-12-19T11:37:27","date_gmt":"2021-12-19T11:37:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/?p=147773"},"modified":"2021-12-19T11:37:27","modified_gmt":"2021-12-19T11:37:27","slug":"drakeo-the-ruler-stabbed-at-the-once-upon-a-time-in-la-music-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/world-news\/drakeo-the-ruler-stabbed-at-the-once-upon-a-time-in-la-music-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Drakeo the Ruler \u2018stabbed\u2019 at the Once Upon A Time In LA music festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RAPPER Drakeo the Ruler has been stabbed at the Once Upon A Time In LA music festival, reports suggest.<\/p>\n<p>The 28-year-old, whose real name is Darrell Caldwell, was said to have been knifed back stage at around 9pm last night and is currently in hospital in a critical condition.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.the-sun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2021\/12\/comp-ap-6469-drakeo.jpg\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.the-sun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2021\/12\/22471013-e7e9-48f3-b0dd-1520e7c22518.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>The Los Angeles Times reported that no individuals have yet been arrested in connection with the case and that the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>The LA Police Department, meanwhile, confirmed that the rap star suffered stab wounds to the neck after he was set upon by a \u201cgroup of people\u201d in an area off stage.<\/p>\n<p>Caldwell had been due to perform at the Los Angeles festival alongside stars such as Snoop Dogg, Ice Cub and 50 Cent .<\/p>\n<p>However, the event was swiftly cancelled as authorities confirmed that an \u201cincident had occurred.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Twitter, the Los Angeles Police Department said: \u201cThere has been an incident at the Once Upon A Time in LA festival at the Banc of California.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe festival has concluded early. urged attendees to head to the exits as videos later posted to social media showed festival goers scrambling as they attempted to climb over a fence.<\/p>\n<p>An event spokesperson added in a statement: \u201cThere was an altercation in the roadway backstage.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOut of respect for those involved and in coordination with local authorities, artists and organisers decided not to move forward with remaining sets so the festival was ended an hour early.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>CONTROVERSIAL RAP STAR<\/h2>\n<p>Draeko was arrested earlier this year after his Uber driver was pulled over for allegedly having tinted windows.<\/p>\n<p>The arrest, which was live-streamed on\u00a0Instagram\u00a0by Drakeo, came just months after the rapper struck a plea deal after he was acquitted of murder and attempted murder charges.<\/p>\n<p>Writer Jeff Weiss claimed that the LAPD pulled over the car with Draeko and his toddler son at 11am on August 22, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>He then went on to say that the incident was a &quot;set up&quot; and that it was a part of the police force watching his every move.<\/p>\n<p>He wrote: &quot;If you don&#x27;t think the LA Sheriff&#x27;s and the LAPD have been watching Drakeo&#x27;s every move and IG story since he came home &#8212; and listening to every song &#8212; I have a tunnel on 2nd Street to sell you.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Raised in South\u00a0Los Angeles\u00a0by his single mom, Drakeo the Ruler found fame after DJ Mustard remixed his song Mr Get Dough in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>In October 2015 he released his first official mix tape I Am Mr Mosely on Mustard\u2019s 10 Summers label.<\/p>\n<p>I Am Mr Mosely 2 was issued in July the following year and So Cold I Do Em, which featured Impatient Freestyle was released in December.<\/p>\n<p>Drakeo recorded a 16-track mix tape Cold Devil in just ten days which was released in December 2017 and gained widespread critical acclaim.<\/p>\n<p>His ninth mixtape,\u00a0The Truth Hurts, was released on
