The CEO of Switzerland-based financial institution SEBA Bank shared his predictions for Bitcoin (BTC)\u00a0in 2022.\u00a0A boon for BTC bulls,\u00a0Guido Buehler was optimistic about institutional adoption and a price increase to $75,000 per coin.<\/p>\n
He explained in an interview that at SEBA, asset pools are looking for the right time to invest; however, they need the right counterparties and the necessary regulation in order to deploy capital. <\/p>\n
When pressed on whether Bitcoin\u00a0would hit new highs this year, Buehler thinks it\u2019s possible, \u201cThe question is always time.\u201d He noted that with BTC dominance bottoming out at 40%, it\u2019s a pivotal moment for investors looking for a directional play. <\/p>\n
The interview took place at the Crypto Finance Conference in St. Moritz, Switzerland, where \u201csophisticated\u201d players across the crypto space came together to discuss potential business deals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The reasons behind price increases clash with the CEO of Ledger\u2019s musings. At the same conference, Pascal Gauthier agreed on BTC hitting new highs, but it\u2019ll be\u00a0retail leading the charge.<\/p>\n

The bank recently\u00a0completed a Series C funding round of 110 million Swiss francs ($119 million) in which FTX and Alameda Research were investors. In October last year, the bank said that customers would soon be able to\u00a0earn yields on their crypto holdings.<\/p>\n A crypto enthusiast\u00a0himself, in Buehler\u2019s words, the technology behind Bitcoin will \u201credefine finance.\u201d <\/p>\n
