{"id":150644,"date":"2022-01-26T14:57:39","date_gmt":"2022-01-26T14:57:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/?p=150644"},"modified":"2022-01-26T14:57:39","modified_gmt":"2022-01-26T14:57:39","slug":"youtuber-invents-first-working-retractable-lightsaber-that-can-cut-through-steel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/world-news\/youtuber-invents-first-working-retractable-lightsaber-that-can-cut-through-steel\/","title":{"rendered":"YouTuber invents first working retractable lightsaber that can cut through steel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A YouTuber has won a Guinness World Record for creating the first working, retractable lightsaber, with the beam able to cut through steel.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Burkan, the Russian social media star and YouTuber, is one of the few Star Wars fans to live out the dream of holding and using a working lightsaber.<\/p>\n<p> He is now internationally credited as creating the one metre-long blade that can hit temperatures of more than 2,800 celcius, LADBible reports. <\/p>\n<p>The blade can also attract lightning and other high voltage charges.<\/p>\n<p>The YouTuber realised the possibilities of a working lightsaber when working on hydrogen generation equipment, using his knowledge to craft a working lightsaber.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i2-prod.dailystar.co.uk\/incoming\/article26055559.ece\/ALTERNATES\/s615b\/0_Image.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Explaining his work to Guinness World Records, he said: &quot;Every single step during [the] development and building process was a challenge.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;For many years I have collected ideas and spare parts for my lightsaber and power equipment on the internet markets and [from] scrap yards.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The key component of my lightsaber is an electrolyser.
