Randy Fine issued a veiled threat against Joe Biden&#8217;s life if he tried to take away guns after the president issued a call for gun control.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I have news for the embarrassment that claims to be our President \u2014 try to take our guns and you\u2019ll learn why the Second Amendment was written in the first place,&#8217; Fine wrote on Twitter, in a post that was heavily ratioed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The tweet received nearly 6,000 replies, about 2,000 retweets and 147 favorites about three hours after it was posted.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday evening Fine addressed the Uvalde school shooting as he called for the gunman to spend &#8216;eternity in hell.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I will never forget presenting a bill on the Floor as I watched my colleagues become frenetic as we learned about Parkland. I think of how heartbroken we were \u2014 and are \u2014 as we pray for those children, staff, and families in Texas. May the murderer spend eternity in hell.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2022\/05\/25\/15\/58273387-10853833-image-a-1_1653490098650.jpg\" height=\"844\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Republican Florida state Rep. Why are we willing to live with this carnage? Why do we keep letting this happen? Where in God\u2019s name is our backbone to have the courage to deal with it? It\u2019s time to turn this pain into action,&#8217; Biden sounded off on Twitter Tuesday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;As a nation we must ask: When in God\u2019s name will we stand up to the gun lobby?&#8217; he added. &#8216;When in God\u2019s name will we do what needs to be done? I\u2019m sick and tired of it. We have to act.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>He wrote Wednesday morning: &#8216;We know common sense gun laws can\u2019t and won\u2019t prevent every tragedy. But we know they work and have a positive impact. When we passed the assault weapons ban \u2014 mass shootings went down. When the law expired \u2014 mass shootings tripled.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Where in God&#8217;s name is our backbone?&#8217; a visibly emotional Biden pleaded in an address to the nation Tuesday evening.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I had hoped, when I became president, I would not have to do this. Again. Another massacre,&#8217; Biden said.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking from the White House Roosevelt Room with First Lady Jill Biden clad in black by his side, the president said: &#8216;Uvalde, Texas. An elementary school. Beautiful innocent, second, third, fourth graders. And how many scores of little children who witnessed what happen &#8211; see their friends die as if they&#8217;re on a battlefield, for God&#8217;s sake?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>He took a moment to empathize with parents who would never see their young children again after Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Parents will never be the same. To lose a child, it&#8217;s like having a piece of your soul ripped away,&#8217; said the president, who lost his son Beau Biden to brain cancer in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;There&#8217;s a hollowness in your chest you feel like you&#8217;re being sucked into it. And never going to be able to get out. Suffocating. And it&#8217;s never quite the same. It&#8217;s the feeling shared by the siblings and the grandparents and the family members and the community that&#8217;s left behind.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>He said the ability for a teenage gunman, like Salvador Ramos, to be able to &#8216;walk into a gun store and buy two assault weapons is just wrong.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;What in God&#8217;s name do you need an assault weapon for except to kill someone?&#8217; Biden questioned.<\/p>\n<p>He then accused gun makers of spending &#8216;two decades aggressively marketing assault weapons, which make them the most and largest profit.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;For God&#8217;s sake, we have to have the courage to stand up to the industry,&#8217; the president said.<\/p>\n<p>Biden recalled the numerous mass shootings over the last decade, including visiting Sandy Hook Elementary School, where a gunman killed 26 people including 20 children while he was vice president. He also remarked on the this month&#8217;s mass shooting that killed 10 people in Buffalo, New York.<\/p>\n<p>He then accused gun makers of spending &#8216;two decades aggressively marketing assault weapons, which make them the most and largest profit.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;For God&#8217;s sake, we have to have the courage to stand up to the industry,&#8217; the president said.<\/p>\n<p>The Uvalde gunman, Salvador Ramos, had purchased two firearms just days ago immediately after his 18th birthday.\u00a0 He paraded the AR-style rifles on social media, including in ominous messages sent hours before the killing started.<\/p>\n<p>In Texas, people who are 18 and older are legally allowed to buy long guns, such as rifles and shotguns.
