Prior to the Cato Institute, he was a\u00a0special assistant\/\u200badviser to the Multi-National Force in Iraq on rule-of-law issues and practiced at Patton Boggs and Cleary Gottlieb, according to his bio. <\/p>\n

He also clerked for Judge E. Grady Jolly of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.<\/p>\n

Shapiro worked at Georgetown University as an adjunct law professor but announced his resignation on June 6, 2022. <\/p>\n
