{"id":164027,"date":"2022-09-20T19:05:42","date_gmt":"2022-09-20T19:05:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/?p=164027"},"modified":"2022-09-20T19:05:42","modified_gmt":"2022-09-20T19:05:42","slug":"man-accidentally-exposed-himself-to-girls-in-optical-illusion-room","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/world-news\/man-accidentally-exposed-himself-to-girls-in-optical-illusion-room\/","title":{"rendered":"Man &apos;accidentally&apos; exposed himself to girls in optical illusion room"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Prankster &#8216;accidentally&#8217; exposed himself to schoolgirls after taking out his penis in tourist attraction&#8217;s optical illusion room to make it look bigger &#8211; without realising moment was being screened in public viewing area<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Callum Carlyle\u00a0pleaded guilty to breach of the peace at Edinburgh Sheriff Court<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>The 25-year-old from Scotland escaped being put on the sex offenders register<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Mr Carlyle had thought he was alone with his girlfriend when he had exposed himself at\u00a0the Camera Obscura and World of Illusions tourist attraction<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2022\/09\/20\/19\/62627307-11232205-image-a-2_1663697244515.jpg\" height=\"677\" width=\"306\"><\/p>\n<p>Callum Carlyle, 25, (pictured outside Edinburgh Sheriff Court today), has escaped being put on the Sex Offenders Register after exposing himself at a tourist attraction<\/p>\n<p>A man who &#8216;accidentally&#8217; exposed himself to a group of 15-year-old girls when he used optical illusion mirrors to make his penis look bigger has escaped being put on the sex offenders register.<\/p>\n<p>Callum Carlyle, 25, was alone with his girlfriend in a room at the\u00a0Camera Obscura and World of Illusions tourist attraction in Edinburgh and thought no one could see when he whipped out his penis.<\/p>\n<p>The prankster, from Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland, was joking around with an optical illusion device which made objects look larger.<\/p>\n<p>But he didn&#8217;t realise that images from the room were being beamed on to a screen\u00a0in a nearby area where members of the public &#8211; including 15-year-old schoolgirls &#8211; were watching.<\/p>\n<p>The indecent joke was then reported to police and landed the &#8217;embarrassed&#8217; mechanic in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today where he pleaded guilty to an amended charge of breach of the peace.<\/p>\n<p>Fiscal depute Ross Carver told the court: &#8216;The accused was alone within the room when he unbuckled his belt, unzipped his trousers and removed his flaccid penis.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He then held his penis in his hand and walked to the other side of the room and he appeared to grow in size.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He then put his penis back inside his trousers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;His partner walked out of the room and witnesses heard her saying &#8220;I can&#8217;t take you anywhere&#8221;.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;He followed her out of the room. Unfortunately that illusion is projected on to a screen in an adjacent room where members of the public saw what the accused had been doing, including girls aged 15.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;This matter was accordingly reported to the police.&#8217; The Crown accepted there was &#8216;no significant sexual aspect&#8217; to the conduct which took place on August 1 2020, the court heard.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2022\/09\/20\/18\/62626939-0-image-m-2_1663696675786.jpg\" height=\"616\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Mr Carlyle was alone with his girlfriend in a room at the Camera Obscura and World of Illusions tourist attraction in Edinburgh (pictured) and thought no one could see when he whipped out his penis<\/p>\n<p>Solicitor Nigel Bruce, defending, said his client had believed the prank to be &#8216;a great laugh&#8217; between him and his partner and was unaware others could view him at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Bruce said Mr Carlyle was &#8216;greatly embarrassed&#8217; by his court appearance and that he &#8216;deeply regrets&#8217; the incident which he described as &#8216;stupid horseplay&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>He said his client had spent two years worrying about the possibility of being added to the sex offenders register.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sheriff Fiona Reith admonished the tradesman, adding:\u00a0&#8216;This is an extremely unfortunate situation.
