North Korea have fired another ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan, according to Japan's Ministry of Defence officials.

The Japan Coast Guard announced at 6:04 am that a possible ballistic missile was launched from Kim Jong-Un's secretive state and ships have been deployed to investigate the weapon's range, altitude, and speed.

The reported launch comes two days after a medium-range ballistic missile, thought to be a Hwasong-12, was fired in the Mupyong-ri area of Jagang Province.

The Twitter account belonging to Japan's Prime Minister wrote in response: "North Korea has launched a suspected ballistic missile."

Several of the first followers to comment on the tweet all asked the same thing, "Again?".

According to multiple government officials, the missile is believed to have fallen outside Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

The US and South Korea have fired four surface-to-surface missiles towards the Sea of Japan as tensions with North Korea continue to rise.

However, one of the four missiles failed shortly after launch, but luckily there were no casualties.
