Elon Musk has issued a terrifying nuclear warning to his millions of Twitter fans.<\/p>\n
The billionaire has found himself in hot water in recent weeks for sharing his rough and ready solutions for peace in Ukraine on Twitter, which even landed him in trouble with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy himself.<\/p>\n
And now in the face of new criticism, the world's richest man has defended his actions, claiming "all bets are off" if the world descends into nuclear war.<\/p>\n

A critic on Twitter said of the mogul: "Because being the CEO of SpaceX, Tesla, Boring Company, Neuralink, and buying Twitter wasn\u2019t enough, @elonmusk has now decided he needs to solve war too."<\/p>\n

Responding to the claims, he said: "I have no desire to become involved in wars, but it is safe to say that all bets are off if the nukes start flying."<\/p>\n
However, some users on the social network weren't buying it, with one user saying: "Stay in your lane. Supply the Starlink. Stop tweeting. Don't be a modern-day Henry Ford – genius at cars, horrific elsewhere."<\/p>\n
This is far from the first time Musk has courted controversy recently.<\/p>\n
Earlier this month the tycoon offered up his suggestions on how to bring about peace between Ukraine and Russia, but many thought he seemed to be siding with the latter.<\/p>\n
Musk tweeted: "Ukraine-Russia Peace: Redo elections of annexed regions under UN supervision. Russia leaves if that is the will of the people.<\/p>\n

"Crimea formally part of Russia, as it has been since 1783 (until Khrushchev\u2019s mistake).<\/p>\n
"Water supply to Crimea assured.<\/p>\n
"Ukraine remains neutral."<\/p>\n
Musk followed up the controversial Tweet with a poll, asking his nearly 105million followers: "Let\u2019s try this then: the will of the people who live in the Donbas & Crimea should decide whether they\u2019re part of Russia or Ukraine," to which 59% agreed with him.<\/p>\n
But the controversy didn't stop there as world leaders and international media organisations began to criticise Musk's desire to involve himself in the conflict.<\/p>\n

President Zelenskyy did not take kindly to the meddling and put out his own tweet asking: \u201cWhich @elonmusk do you like more?\u201d, suggesting the options "One who supports Russia", or "One that supports Ukraine".<\/p>\n
Unsurprisingly, a Ukraine-supporting Musk came out victorious with 79% of the votes.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile editor-in-chief of the Chinese state-backed publication The Global Times, Hu Xijin, openly blasted the Tesla mogul, writing: "Elon Musk has released his personality too much, and he believes too much in the US and West\u2019s 'freedom of speech'.<\/p>\n
"He will be taught a lesson."<\/p>\n
And after Musk admitted to having a video chat with Putin last year, criticism of the Tesla founder grew to new heights.<\/p>\n
One fan on Twitter joked: "Helped stop the war?"<\/p>\n
Meanwhile another suggested: "Maybe you'll talk to @ZelenskyyUa also?"<\/p>\n
Others remembered that the billionaire had challenged Putin to a fight for control of Ukraine back in March of this year, and some followers asked whether he planned to follow through.<\/p>\n
In the viral post he said: "I hereby challenge [Vladimir Putin] to single combat.<\/p>\n
"Stakes are [Ukraine]."<\/p>\n
