{"id":167901,"date":"2022-12-05T15:34:57","date_gmt":"2022-12-05T15:34:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/?p=167901"},"modified":"2022-12-05T15:34:57","modified_gmt":"2022-12-05T15:34:57","slug":"man-20-cleared-of-raping-young-woman-in-grounds-of-cardiff-castle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/precoinnews.com\/world-news\/man-20-cleared-of-raping-young-woman-in-grounds-of-cardiff-castle\/","title":{"rendered":"Man, 20, cleared of raping young woman in grounds of Cardiff Castle"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Rugby referee, 20, is cleared of twice raping young woman in the grounds of Cardiff Castle after CCTV showed her &#8216;kiss him&#8217; following the alleged attack<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Simeon Greenaway-Robbins, 20, found not guilty of raping young woman<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>He was accused of raping her in the grounds of Cardiff Castle in November 2020<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span>Student, who denied two counts of rape, was acquitted following a trial<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A parish priest&#8217;s son has been found not guilty of raping a teenager at a park in the grounds of Cardiff Castle.<\/p>\n<p>Amateur rugby referee Simeon Greenaway-Robbins, 20, was charged in relation to an incident in Bute Park on 10 November 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors alleged that Mr Greenaway-Robbins, 20, pushed the complainant to the ground as she entered the park and ripped the bottom of her bodysuit off before raping and choking her.<\/p>\n<p>The defendant, of Rectory Close, Caerphilly, said the sex between himself and the complainant was consensual.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2022\/12\/05\/14\/65253925-11503593-image-a-16_1670251621238.jpg\" height=\"951\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Amateur rugby referee Simeon Greenaway-Robbins, 20, has been found not guilty of raping a teenager at a park in the grounds of Cardiff Castle on November 10, 2020<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2022\/12\/05\/14\/65253949-11503593-image-a-17_1670251628908.jpg\" height=\"558\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The defendant, of Rectory Close, Caerphilly, said the sex between himself and the complainant was consensual<\/p>\n<p>He vehemently denied two counts of rape and told a friend he &#8216;would not be accused of something he didn&#8217;t do&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>David Elias KC, defending, previously told the court that CCTV showed the woman kiss Greenaway-Robbins following the alleged attack.<\/p>\n<p>He said: &#8216;She puts an arm around his waist, leans up and kisses him. He told you that as far as he was concerned she was happy and fine. Is the CCTV consistent with that?
