RIP.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Emergency services rushed to the scene on the A61 Scott Hall Road at around 8.30am. <\/p>\n<p>West Yorkshire Police found a white Audi TT crashed into a concrete wall and two pedestrians suffering injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Both were pronounced dead a short time later, a force spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p>The driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. <\/p>\n<p>Distraught families last night told how their children had watched the horror unfold.<\/p>\n<p>One parent said: &quot;My son witnessed it waiting for the bus to school.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;He&#x27;s shaken up. I managed to go pick him up before the road was closed and brought him home. <\/p>\n<p>&quot;Just seeing the state of the car made me feel uneasy so can\u2019t begin to imaging what it\u2019s done to him seeing it.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>A traffic officer told shocked onlookers it was the worst scene he had ever attended. <\/p>\n<h2>&#x27;ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE&#x27;<\/h2>\n<p>A witness said: &quot;The entire front of the Audi is missing. The mother and child were pedestrians crossing the road.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The driver was at the lights revving. He set off and 200 yards down the road he struck the two people on the pavement.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile a tyre fitter who works nearby said: &quot;I heard the Audi TT revving his engine at the red lights.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Then he flew off down the road. I could see the driver at the wheel.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I did not see the crash. But then all hell broke loose.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>One woman who was passing by said: &quot;Seeing the scene broke me.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Residents described how the A-road is used as a &quot;racing track&quot; by speeding drivers who hurtle down it past the limit. <\/p>\n<p>Cops are investigating if this is relevant in this case. <\/p>\n<p>Two men, 26 and 34, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Both remain in custody.<\/p>\n<p>A 65-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
