He is also the Founder and Chairman of\u00a0SchiffGold, a full-service, discount precious metals dealer.<\/p>\n<p>On 12 January 2023, with $BTC trading around the $18,200 level, gold bug Peter Schiff must have thought it was pretty safe to make another bearish about Bitcoin; unfortunately for him, his thinking has turned out to be wrong based on how well Bitcoin has been performing so far in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>On 12 January 2023, Schiff told his over 910K followers on Twitter:<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, this comment came three days after former hedge fund manager\u00a0Jim Cramer, who is the host of CNBC show \u201cMad Money w\/ Jim Cramer\u201c, told his over 1.9 million Twitter followers that this was a good chance to get out of crypto, which prompted Dan Held, Bitcoin educator and marketing advisor at Trust Machines, to say that Cramer\u2019s comment meant that the crypto market had bottomed:<\/p>\n<p>According to data by TradingView, since Schiff\u2019s tweet on 12 January 2023, the price of Bitcoin has gone from $18,218 to $22,613, which is a gain of around 24% vs USD:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cryptoglobe.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com\/2023\/01\/BTCUSD_2023-01-25_11-19-29-1280x550.png\"><\/p>\n<p>Anyway, yesterday (24 January 2024), continued hating on Bitcoin despite realizing that Bitcoin\u2019s recent price gains must have made him look very silly for telling $BTC HODLers to \u201cdrop Bitcoin.\u201d Schiff once again advised people to sell, saying basically that he expects \u201cthe entire rally\u201d to reverse and for the Bitcoin price to crash below where it was at the beginning of its rally.<\/p>\n<p>Willy Woo was quick to point to Schiff that what is even worse than HODLers not getting out of Bitcoin now is Schiff \u201cadvising people to sell at $3.5k and seeing it rally 2000%.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Schiff also said that he does not expect to be advising people to sell Bitcoin once it gets to the $100K level since he believes that it is \u201cunlikely\u201d for Bitcoin to ever reach this price level:<\/p>\n<h2>Image Credit<\/h2>\n<p><em>Featured Image via\u00a0Pixabay<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cryptoglobe.com\/latest\/2023\/01\/btc-on-chain-analyst-willy-woo-mocks-peter-schiff-for-advising-people-to-sell-bitcoin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday (25 January 2023), Bitcoin perma-bear<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":170090,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[47],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
