A cold front that blew through the state overnight brought high winds and some blowing snow showers to the eastern plains Thursday morning.

Light snow showers are also continuing in the mountains Thursday morning, and in Denver, temperatures will struggle to get above freezing.

The high Thursday is 33 degrees, and wind gusts could reach 30 mph.

The snow in the mountains could cause some travel impacts as roads may still be slick from overnight snow.

Across the plains, high winds are the main issue as gusts could reach up to 55 mph. The snow showers there are possible until about 2 p.m. and could cause reductions in visibility and travel impacts.

Temperatures on the plains will stay cold with highs in the 20s and lows in the single digits.

Mountains valleys in Jackson and Grand counties will be the coldest with wind chills getting to -20 degrees.

Temperatures rebound quickly Friday as highs reach 52 degrees. Saturday will also be warmer with a high of 54 degrees.
