Police are chasing the ex-husband of a model whose corpse was found headless and dismembered, with parts of her found cooked and stored in a fridge.<\/p>\n
Socialite Abby Choi was found with parts of her body cooked and put in a fridge just a day after police in Hong Kong arrested her husband\u2019s family, including his parents and brother, yesterday (February 23) on suspicion of murder.<\/p>\n
A source connected to the investigation told theSouth China Morning Postthat Abby\u2019s alleged murder may have been related to a dispute over a huge HK$100 million (\u00a310.7 million) sum of money. <\/p>\n

The source added that police are investigating whether Abby, who was 28, was killed in the house, which was today (February 24) cordoned off by detectives, in the glitzy Tai Po district, or whether she died elsewhere.<\/p>\n

The model was initially reported missing on Tuesday (February 21) after she failed to pick up the child she had with her husband.<\/p>\n
Detectives believe that Abby\u2019s ex-brother-in-law met her at her home before she disappeared.<\/p>\n
The model had 80,000 followers on Instagram and was often pictured with major celebrities from across the world, including rapper and producer Pharrell Williams.<\/p>\n
She even appeared on the cover of fashion magazine L\u2019officiel earlier this month.<\/p>\n

The model said in an interview with the magazine that she was someone \u201cwho keeps absorbing inspiration and always tries new styles. Sometimes I also try to dress up more extravagantly, by missing and combining different looks\u201d.<\/p>\n
Abby\u2019s alleged murder is a rare case in Hong Kong, whose police investigated just 30 murder cases last year.<\/p>\n
According to police records, family members are involved in around half of the country's murders.<\/p>\n
