A WOMAN and a man have been left with \u201cpotentially life-changing injuries\u201d after they were savaged by a dog.<\/p>\n
Cops were called to Thomas Street in the Hindley Green area of Wigan at around 11.30pm on May 8.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Officers responded to reports \u201cthat a dog was dangerously out of control\u201d in a house.<\/p>\n
The dog was seized by the police and is currently being held in kennels while an investigation takes place.<\/p>\n
The injured man and woman are still in hospital following the incident.<\/p>\n
Their injuries are said to be serious and \u201cpotentially life-changing\u201d, but not life-threatening.<\/p>\n

Greater Manchester Police has urged anyone with information to come forward.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson said: "At around 11.30pm on Monday 8 May 2023, officers responded to reports that a dog was dangerously out of control in a property on Thomas Street in Wigan.<\/p>\n
"A man and a woman were injured during the incident. Both remain in hospital with serious and potentially life-changing injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.<\/p>\n
"The dog was seized by specialist officers and is currently being held in kennels. Enquiries are currently ongoing."<\/p>\n
