Paul Bristow, the MP for Peterborough, was ejected by Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle during the Commons sparring match, during a rowdy debate about immigration.<\/p>\n
Debating tomorrow’s immigration figures, Sir Keir told the House of Commons: “I will tell you what uncontrolled immigration looks like.\u201d<\/p>\n
He was swiftly heckled by Mr Bristow, who shouted “Vote Labour” in response.<\/p>\n
Sir Lindsay interrupted the session, saying: “Mr Bristow, I think you’re going to be leaving. I’m asking you to leave now because otherwise I’ll name you.<\/p>\n
“I’m not having it and I warned you before. It’s the same people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the Commons session, Mr Bristow took to Twitter to mock the social media reaction to his misdemeanour.<\/p>\n
He posted a photo of a Twitter list of trending topics, showing his name in fourth place, just below #PMQs, Mason Mount and Steve Sidwell.<\/p>\n
He joked: \u201cWhat happened?\u201d<\/p>\n
As Paul Bristow was jeered by Labour MPs as he left the chamber, Sir Lindsay Hoyle turned his ire on the opposition, warning them “and the same will happen on this side\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Mirror reported the Peterborough MP \u201clooked a bit sheepish as he ambled out\u201d.<\/p>\n
Don’t miss… <\/strong> Twitter users weren’t impressed at Mr Bristow taking his punishment so lightly, however.<\/p>\n One replied: “You couldn’t be grown up so got sent out like the naughty kid at school.”<\/p>\n Another said: “Being booted out by the speaker is nothing to be proud of, showing you are trending, when it is for that reason.”<\/p>\n A third quipped: “Leave means Leave, Paul.”<\/p>\n Mr Speaker had already told the Commons off during PMQs for the noise levels, prior to ejecting the Tory MP.<\/p>\n Earlier in the session, he interrupted Sir Keir and said: \u201cI want to hear this question. Those who don\u2019t want to hear it, you know the answer\u201d.<\/p>\n He later had to demand \u201cthe same respect will be shown\u201d to Rishi Sunak, as Labour MPs cheered a joke by Sir Keir Starmer about the Government failing on points-based systems – a jibe at both the Government\u2019s record on immigration and the Home Secretary\u2019s speeding fine.<\/p>\n Sir Lindsay Hoyle\u2019s threat to “name” Paul Bristow could have resulted in him being suspended from the Commons.<\/p>\n The Speaker has suspended MPs before for breaking Commons rules, including two Scottish nationalist MPs who refused to stop protesting at the start of PMQs.<\/p>\n Sir Lindsay yelled: \u201cI say to the honourable gentleman, I will not tolerate such behaviour. If you want to go out, go out now, but if you stand up again I will order you out.\u201d<\/p>\n He\u2019s also chastised Government ministers, including Kemi Badenoch who he asked “Who do you think you’re speaking to” after she failed to voluntarily inform the Commons about a major change to Government Brexit policy.<\/p>\n
