<\/p>\nA PASSENGER on the diarrhoea flight from hell revealed the vanilla disinfectant made the smell even worse before staff were forced to rip up the whole carpet.<\/p>\n
The plane was forced to make an emergency landing on September 2 after the passenger's explosive mess was deemed a biohazard.<\/p>\n

The long-haul Delta Airlines flight from Atlanta, US, to Barcelona, Spain, was just two hours in when the plane made a U-turn due to the "medical issue" on board.<\/p>\n
Speaking to air traffic control, the captain said: "This is a biohazard issue.<\/p>\n
"We\u2019ve had a passenger who\u2019s had diarrhea all the way through the airplane, so they want us to come back to Atlanta."<\/p>\n
One unfortunate passenger who was onboard the nightmare flight with her partner told of their experience on X, formerly known as Twitter.<\/p>\n

The social media user, known only as Dee W, wrote: "My partner was on that flight! It was pretty bad. <\/p>\n
"It was dribbled down the aisle, smelled horrible. <\/p>\n
"The vanilla-scented disinfectant used on it only made it smell like vanilla s***," she added.<\/p>\n
The horrified traveller revealed that after the plane had landed it was thoroughly cleaned but they didn't manage to leave until around 2:30am.<\/p>\n
<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n X users were left sickened by her account of the incident and flooded her post with questions.<\/p>\n She then explained: "The flight was met by emergency vehicles and EMTs carried the sick passenger off the plane. <\/p>\n "My partner said the plane was cleaner when they got back on at 2am than it was the first time they got on. No smell either."<\/p>\n Another passenger on the horror flight also said the entire scenario was a "mess" that led to the aisle carpet having to be completely ripped up.<\/p>\n He revealed the clean-up took around five hours in total and a new carpet had to be installed in place of the soiled one.<\/p>\n "The pilots made the right decision to turn around. The ground crew ripped out the carpet and put new [one] in," he said.<\/p>\n He also commended the staff involved that dealt with the chaos, adding "Considering the circumstances, the ground crew did a great job, along the attendants and the pilots."<\/p>\n Horror footage has circulated on X which shows the vile mess spread throughout the Airbus A350 – which fully loaded can carry 330 people.<\/p>\n A number of paper towels appeared to have been hastily put on the floor in a bid to clear up the muck as flight attendants attempted to scrub the mess before the plane landed.<\/p>\n Passengers whose flight was ruined were transferred from the aircraft\u00a0to another jet and made it to Spain eight hours later than scheduled,\u00a0Flightradar24\u00a0data shows.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the airline told Insider: "Delta flight 194 from Atlanta to Barcelona returned to Atlanta following an onboard medical issue.<\/p>\n "Our teams worked as quickly and safely as possible to thoroughly clean the aeroplane and get our customers to their final destination.<\/p>\n "We sincerely apologise to our customers for the delay and inconvenience to their travel plans."<\/p>\n It comes after passengers were left choking and desperately pleading for oxygen masks to drop as a\u00a0plane cabin began to fill with smoke\u00a0mid-air.<\/p>\n Travellers on the\u00a0Gol Airlines\u00a0flight across\u00a0Brazil\u00a0were left gasping for air as pilots were forced to make an emergency landing on September 4.<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/SC-Kourtney-Baby-Comp2-copy.jpg\")
