A poll of MPs found less than one in five and just a quarter of Tories supported the Government’s electric vehicle (EV) charging taxation policy. The FairCharge campaign findings add further weight to the Daily Express Green Britain Needs You drive.

Public EV charging incurs 20 percent VAT and powering up at home just five percent – but many people cannot plug in on their doorsteps.

FairCharge founder Quentin Willson said: “We need an urgent change as a basic point of fairness.”
