Prince Harry received "many hundreds of thousands of pounds" last year by Prince Charles, despite his claims in a tell-all interview with Oprah that he had been cut off financially, a source has claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said they had been forced to make deals with Spotify and Netflix after they decided to step back as senior members of the Royal Family.
Harry, 36, said he and his wife were cut off by the Royal Family after following Megxit in early 2020, and that they had to find a source of income when they were informed that their security would be removed.
Speaking to Oprah, he said that the streaming deals were not part of "a plan" and had been suggested by somebody else.
He added that Prince Charles had stopped taking his calls for some time after he, Meghan and Archie moved to the US and that he had received no financial support from his father since the start of 2020.

Harry said: "I've got what my mum left me, and without that, we would not have been able to do this."
But sources have claimed that he received a lump sum of "many hundreds of thousands of pounds" from father Prince Charles in March 2020 to help fund his new life in America.
The Daily Mail reports it was made clear to Harry and Meghan that more money would be put aside for them if needed.

Harry told Oprah: "The biggest concern was that while we were in Canada, in someone else's house, and then I got told short notice that security was going to be removed.
"So suddenly it dawned on me, hang on a second, the borders could be closed, we're going to have our security removed, who knows how long lockdown is going to be.

"The world knows where we are. It's not safe. It's not secure."
Since stepping back as senior royals, the couple have signed two deals; one with Netflix rumoured to be worth around £100m, and another with Spotify thought to be worth nearly £30m.
It is also understood that Harry was left around £6.5m when his mother died 23 years ago.
Having been invested and gathering interest, the sum, which includes shares, jewellery, cash and other personal items, increased to around £10m on his 30th birthday.
The Daily Star has approached a spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for comment.
