Man, 63, charged with murder after woman, 20, vanishes off London street as cops hunt for her body

A 63-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with murder after a 20-year-old woman vanished off the streets of London.

The body of Agnes 'Dora' Akom has not been found.

Ms Akom, who moved to London from Hungary three years ago, left her home in north-west London on Sunday, May 9.

She was last seen in Cricklewood Broadway, and cops were alerted to her disappearance two days later.

Neculai Paizan was arrested in connection with her disappearance on Tuesday, May 18.

He was charged with her murder last night and will appear before magistrates in Willesden today.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "Agnes’ body has not yet been found.

"Detectives are still pursuing all possible lines of enquiry and are appealing for the public to come forward if they see or have seen anything suspicious that they feel may be relevant."

Detectives called for anyone with information on Ms Akom's whereabouts to come forward after she went missing.

They said she was last seen in a white faux-fur coat and ripped jeans.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil John said officers were "working tirelessly" to find her amid "serious concerns for her safety".

Cops focused their searches on the Park Royal and Holland Park areas of London.
