Vladimir Putin has sent the world into shock following his decision to send Russian troops across the border into neighbouring Ukraine.
The move has caused horror around the globe with Russian troops carrying out atrocities in Ukraine. It has also put a great deal of attention onto Putin himself, with questions being asked about his own family including his partner and children.
Putin is believed to have shacked up with former Russian gymnast and Olympic gold medalist Alina Kabaeva, now 38, with rumours flying that she is holed up in Switzerland with their children, according to Page Six.
Kabaeva, regarded as highly successful in her sport, has also posed nude in animal furs for magazines although has not been seen much in public since rumours began to circulate about her involvement with the Russian president.
Does Putin have any children with Alina Kabaeva and where are they?
Little is known about the four children, althoughPage Six reports that the couple has two girls – seven-year-old twins – and two boys. The girls are suspected to have been born in February 2015 in Lugano, Switzerland.
The four rumoured children are thought to be hiding in Switzerland with their mother.
The two have never officially confirmed the four children they have together, with Putin a notoriously private man.
Speaking to an anonymous source, Page Six reported: “Alina has two young boys and twin girls with Putin who were born in Switzerland.
“The kids all have Swiss passports, and I imagine she does also.”

“While Putin carries out his assault on the Ukraine, attacking innocent citizens and causing a refugee crisis, his family is holed up in a very private and very secure chalet somewhere in Switzerland — for now, at least.”
Little more is known about these children, with Putin once saying: “I have a private life in which I do not permit interference. It must be respected.
“I have always reacted negatively to those who with their snotty noses and erotic fantasies prowl into others’ lives.”
But the alleged four children hiding with Alina Kabaeva are not the only offspring thought to have come from Putin.
Where are Putin’s other daughters?
Mariya Vorontsova, 35 and, Yekaterina Tikhonova, 33, are believed to be Putin’s two eldest children.
He has worked hard to ensure these two also remain out of the spotlight, speaking about them rarely.
These two women are thought to have come from Putin’s marriage with his ex-wife Lyudmila Aleksandrovna Ocheretnaya, who he was married to between 1983 and 2014.
The pair were married for around 30 years before eventually splitting up.
Asked about it, theMirrorreports Lyudmila said: "Our marriage is over due to the fact that we barely see each other.
"Vladimir is completely submerged in his work. Our children have grown up, each of them is living her own life… And I truly don't like publicity."
However, it isn’t overly clear where the daughters and their mother are now. Page Six reports that Putin hid them in an “underground city” in Siberia in a luxury high-tech bunker in the Altai Mountains.
However, this was according to known conspiracy theorist Valery Solovey.
Putin is also reported to have another daughter, Luiza Rozova, also known as Elizaveta Krivonogikh, although he has never confirmed they are related and neither has she.
She has been reported by the Daily Mail to be a student in St Peterburg and had over 84,000 followers on Instagram before deleting her account.
