A MOTHER accused of drowning her two children in a bathtub reportedly made a shocking confession to her husband.
The investigation is still in the early stages but deputies have said that the crime was intentional.
The mother, identified as 25-year-old Courtney Williams, was arrested in California on Thursday on suspicion of homicide, according to ABC10 News.
The children were identified as five-month-old Holden and his two-a-half-year old older brother Ronin.
Deputies shared that the children's father called their office around noon on Thursday after he came home for lunch.
Law enforcement said that Williams confessed to her husband that she "hurt the children."

After looking around the house, deputies say the father found them in the bathtub.
The children were pronounced dead at the scene after failed attempts ofCPR and other efforts to revive them.
“The tragic loss of five-month-old Holden and his two-a-half-year old brother Ronin reverberates throughout our department and into the community,” Yuba County Sheriff Wendell Anderson said in a statement.
“There are no words to adequately describe the sadness we feel for the family at this time.”

Williams was shown in handcuffs wearing pink sweatpants with no shoes in video obtained by the news outlet.
Neighbors said they were shocked and disturbed by the arrest and allegations.
"She was just, no expression whatsoever, no tears, no nothing," neighbor Charlene Smith said.
Neighbors shared that the family moved to the neighborhood in the past couple of months and seemed friendly but private.
They said they regretted not being able to pick up on any warning signs, such as not hearing children laughing.

Neighbor Krista Taraha said her son used to have playdates with Ronin and she's worried about telling her child why the two can't play anymore.
"My son's probably going to ride his bike over there and sit by his yard every morning, yelling for him like he does everyday," Taraha told the publication.
