Several teenagers are getting heavily into cryptocurrency… and becoming rather rich in the process. Youssof Altoukhi, for example, is only 16 years of age, yet he’s made seven figures through digital currencies and is even the CEO of his own blockchain firm. He’s also traveling around the world and taking part in crypto conferences.
Youssof Altoukhi Has Made a Lot of Digital Money
Youssof was one of 1.3 million British children to invest in crypto early. Today, he’s made more than 148 million pounds, and has seen his wealth increase by more than nine percent in just the last 12 months alone. This is more than double the average wage for most adults.
In addition to his status as a crypto entrepreneur, Youssof also boasts a healthy social media presence as an expert, with more than 64,000 followers to his name on TikTok at the time of writing. Naturally, being on social media leads to a hater here or there, but Youssof says this “comes with the territory.”
In an interview, he commented:
I think it’s a good thing that young people are getting into the crypto space. As they do, they inevitably learn about the corruption of the centralized financial institutions and are going to be empowered by the applications of the technology. I think young people are a lot more entrepreneurial these days as they have grown up with the internet and have all this information available to them. Through that, you can literally learn everything. Just because they are 18 doesn’t mean that they can’t have a revolutionary idea.
Youssof isn’t the only young Brit who’s taken a liking to the growing crypto space. North Londoner Benyamin Ahmed caused quite a stir in 2021 when at the young age of 13, he earned more than 110,000 pounds through the sale of just one non-fungible token (NFT). Today, he’s got a whole collection of NFTs that have sold for more than three million pounds, all of which ultimately wound up in his bank account.
He stated:
I haven’t taken any of the money from my digital wallet, though. It’s not about the amount of the money I earn; it’s about young people leading the charge with the future.
Not long ago, Ahmed was given the distinction of becoming the youngest speaker at Oxford, where he delivered a discussion on the growing popularity and nature of NFTs.
Even the Non-Rich Ones Still Love Crypto
Crypto has become extremely loved by most teenagers in that neck of the woods. Innis Wilcock is only 15 years old, and hasn’t earned much money through crypto just yet, but there’s still a large amount of enthusiasm there. Wilcock said:
If I was adamant that I wanted to invest in stocks 40 years ago, it would have been almost impossible for a 15-year-old to do anything with that kind of stuff. Now with cryptocurrencies and the digitization of money, it’s so much easier.
