Meghan and Harry ‘vow not to overshadow Jubilee’ as Lilibet causes Queen issues

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have "vowed not to overshadow" the Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend.

But Harry and Meghan's daughter Lilbet turns one on Saturday (June 4) – and it could cause an awkward situation.

While the family will be all together for the Monarch's celebrations, the controversial royal couple will have their minds on their own child.

And a source told The Sun that this could cause an issue – although the couple has vowed "not to overshadow the Jubilee".

The source said: “Harry and Meghan will want to celebrate Lilibet’s birthday somehow with their family, but diaries are full on Saturday.

“There isn’t much wriggle room to fit in a birthday party for a one-year-old.

“These events have been planned far in advance and the Sussexes have not exactly made their plans clear or public.”

On that day, Lilibet's great-grandmother will be enjoying an afternoon at the Deby races in Epsom – something she has been a long-time fan of.

And that night will be taken up by a huge concert at Buckingham Palace, too.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will reportedly join the Her Majesty and the rest of the Royal Family at a St Paul's Cathedral service on Friday – presumably with the children alongside them.

Royals are set to gather en-masse for the event, with Harry and Meghan confirming their attendance of the four-day bank holiday weekend celebrations.

The service at St Paul's Cathedral will come 24 hours after the Trooping the Colour, which will see working royals only on the balcony, snubbing Meghan and Harry.

All of the children and grandchildren are set to be featured at the event, and even some of her great-grandchildren could attend the celebration of the Monarch's 70 years on the throne.

Harry and Meghan's attendance will mark the first time since their wedding that the pair have been surrounded by so many active members of the Royal Family.

The Daily Star has contacted Buckingham Palace to find out whether or not a party for Lilibet will be added to the events, but a palace spokesman has previously said: "The Queen is looking forward to the weekend and will be taking part in the celebrations but her presence will not be confirmed until much nearer the time or even on the day itself.

"As you might expect, some adjustments have been made for the Queen’s comfort."
