Halloween horror as yobs spark fireworks chaos in cities across Britain with mum and BABY ‘blasted by rocket’ | The Sun

A MUM and baby were among those caught up in violent chaos as thugs hurled fireworks in cities across Britain.

Footage showed a woman with a baby in a pram being hit by a rocket in Stratford, East London after it was launched by a lout taking part in violent "firework wars".



A teen girl was among those arrested after fireworks were hurled Stratford Bus Station, while rioting in Dundee also saw explosives thrown.

Cops confirmed that fireworks were thrown near to the bus station, while a video shared online encouraged teens to come to the area to start "firework wars".

A poster, seen in the clip, told yobs to wear Halloween masks, black clothing and bring fireworks to throw.

One local said: "On my way home and some kids are blowing up fire works at people? Is Stratford a real place?"

The pyrotechnics were thrown at police as they attempted to calm the situation.

A large number of officers rushed to the scene, as well as a police helicopter.

There were no reports of any injuries and a teenage girl was arrested.

She remains in custody and enquiries are ongoing.

One witness said: "I was waiting for my bus when all of a sudden I heard a loud noise. When I turned around I saw that there were multiple fireworks aimed at the people.

"Many people were screaming as the fireworks continued being set off. A few moments later the whole bus station was evacuated."

Meanwhile, in Dundee, Scotland, louts were filmed recklessly throwing fireworks and burning roadblocks in the Kirkton area of the city on Monday night.

Cops dressed in riot gear were spotted forming a row in front of a blazing street fire.

In shocking footage seen by The Scottish Sun, pyrotechnics exploded beside officers.

Riot cops held up their shields to protect themselves during the tense standoff.

Wheelie bins were also set ablaze and yobs were seen standing on top of parked motors amid the carnage.

Witnesses reported that youths were breaking windows and aiming fireworks and bricks at cars.

One claimed he saw yobs "Trying to set alight a car with children in it whilst they beat the dad."

Local councillor John Alexander said: "This isn’t just a wee bonfire. Blocking roads with bins ablaze, smashing up cars and damaging our schools are scenes that you expect in an action movie or war-torn nation.

"I hope that every single one of those individuals responsible is identified and dealt with appropriately.

"I expect that parents will be equally as outraged and questioning their children, if they knew they were out in that area tonight. Where were your kids tonight? Please ask them."

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.

It comes after three teenage boys were arrested on Monday on suspicion of arson after fireworks were thrown into a house in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The house was badly damaged but nobody was inside at the time.

In a separate incident, a cat was found dead with awful injuries after a "deliberate" firework attack.

Domino was found was found in Harrow, Greater London on 25 October.

Her remains were scattered in her owner's garden with parts of a firework.

RSPCA Inspector Simon Hoggett said: "This was a wicked and cruel act towards a defenceless animal."Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
