A 21-year-old hospital worker suffered horrendous facial burns following an acid attack from an estranged woman on the subway, saying it felt like her nose was 'burning away'
The aggressive suspect, aged around 30, was allegedly swearing at passengers and waving a small bottle of liquid in her hands – the noxious substance which was thrown at the young woman in the early hours of Friday morning.
Abuse from the 30-year-old approx. woman, was heard in a video filmed by the victim: 'I hope your kids get pushed, and your mother gets pushed'. The victim also states the suspect followed her off the train at Winthrop Avenue subway mumbling to herself.

At the point of the stairs, the victim was met by the woman who hurled acid all over her face.
Suffering from 'the worst pain ever' the victim told the New York Post, she was rushed to the hospital where she works and was later transferred to a more specialist unit at Jacobi Medical Center to treat the left side of her face, which had been particularly more affected than any other part of her face.
The victim claims there were no authorities at the time of the attack, so if she hadn't filmed the incident herself, there would be so evidence to corroborate her claims.

She now faces life-altering skin grafts as the acid has burnt her nerves, cartilage and tissue on the left side of her face.
The incident coincides with political announcements as a few days prior, Mayor Eric Adams' announced proposals to involuntarily admit mentally ill people to hospital, granting the NYPD to forcibly hospitalize anyone suspected of being mentally ill who refuses medical treatment.
