Easter Sunday could see Britain bask in temperatures of up to 18C as the weather promises the warmest day of the year so far before "stormy" conditions move in.
The bank holiday weekend is promising sultry weather, with the Met Office predicting it will be "relatively nice" and with "some sunshine", describing it as a "soft heatwave".
However, meteorolgists have warned that Monday (April 10) may see rain, and that the UK could experience inclement weather in the coming week, with temperatures dropping.

Speaking to the Daily Express, Alex Burkill said: "Temperatures are likely to peak around 17 or 18C on Sunday, however this will not be the start of a warmer spell.
"A front will push eastwards overnight into Monday bringing wetter and slightly cooler weather," adding: "The rest of next week then looks more unsettled, and potentially stormy."
Dan Stroud added: "Temperatures over the Easter Weekend are likely to reach into the mid teens, making it feel very pleasant in the sunshine.
"It is possible that temperatures could reach 17C in one or two spots during the course of Saturday and Sunday, mostly likely across parts of NW Wales and N Somerset.
"However it will turn cloudier and less settled from Monday as rain pushes in from the west, this will mean temperatures returning to near normal values for early April and remaining so for the following few days."
He confirmed that the Met Office was "keeping an eye" on a deep area of low pressure which could bring wet and windy weather across many areas from Tuesday (April 11).

Met Office meteorologist Tom Morgan predicted Sunday could be the hottest day of 2023 so far, saying: "It's probably going to be Sunday if we see the warmest day of the year so far, so currently the highest temperature recorded in 2023 is 17.8C and that was on March 30 in Suffolk, so we'll probably see temperatures peaking at around 18C or so on Easter Sunday."
But he added that the weather would not be too far from the norm, saying: "This Monday will see rain for most places but in the form of showers primarily, so there will still be a few sunny intervals on Monday, it won't be a washout for most places."
The weather service predicted "Breezy with a risk of coastal gales in the north", notably in the middle of the week.
